Time for retirement

Time for the Clown halloween costume that all of the kids have worn to retire. I bought it for Derrick to wear in 1995 when he was just over 2 years old and it kinda became a tradition for each of the kids to wear it when they were around the same age. Since Emily is our last little munchkin, the clown costume will be retired for good.

Of course, this post would be useless without pictures...so here ya go!!

Anyone that knows me and has been to our house knows that we have desperately needed a table for some time. Our little 4 top table, with 2 broken chairs, has left us eating wherever we could find a place to park our butt for quite some time. It definately wasn't working with 4 kids!
I found this beautiful table on Craigslist a few weeks ago and I love it! It is about 40 years old and in excellent condition! The ladies that I met with to pick it up were so nice. I really felt great about the whole deal.
The best part is that we can all sit down and eat dinner together again! Woohoo!

Bailey's First Day Of School!

She has been so excited to start school! Everything went so good. Suprisingly no tears (for her or me lol). She went right into the classroom and barely wanted to say goodbye to me (she was too busy). I had to practically beg for a hug and kiss lol....she was more interested in checking out the classroom.

She rode the bus home and loved it. She has wanted ride on the bus since she was so little!

I was so excited and nervous that most of my pictures came out blurry. lol

No More Braces!

Well, it is kinda old news around here lol. He got them off at the beginning of last month but I never shared pics! It took me a little while to get used to looking at him without them. I found myself staring at his mouth everytime he talked. I'm sure I drove him nuts saying....open your mouth and let me see your teeth again lol.

Anyway...here are 2 pics that I took last night while he was trying to recite his JROTC creed to me lol (again...I was annoying the crap out of him. Must be a mom/teenager thing).

Oh...and just for the heck of it, here is the picture of him the day he got his braces on (December 05).

Time flies when you are having fun!

I had the pleasure of hanging out with the nicest family today! Baby S, his mom, his grandma and his dad (well, dad for just a little bit)! He was such a little sweetie, walking around with his new little toddler style strut. So cute! I love when babies first start to walk...it is adorable! He was an absolute angel. He definately had us working hard to get a smilelol. He didn't find me quite as interesting as the beautiful garden that he was getting to play in!

I took Baby S's newborn pictures one short year ago. Time sure does fly!

Chestnut...I think I love it! Of course I tortured and bribed the kids into testing it out for me today. No pictures with all of them together though. It is rough enough doing their pictures individually! They all did great though...here is a few of my favs!

I photographed this little guy for the first time before he was even born and then again as a newborn and now for his one year portraits. I can't believe he is already turning one! He was so much fun to photograph. Such a little character and so much personality! He kept me giggling the whole time I was there! :-)

Derrick is scheduled to get his braces off in the next few weeks so I was looking through the photo's of when he first got them on. OMG! I can't believe how much he has grown in 2 and a half years! He got them on December 05. Here is a pic from the day he got them on. He was SO little!

I have SO much to learn about beach photography... it definately is not as easy as I thought it would be. I got a few pics but I had to do ALOT of post processing to make them presentable and they are still not exactly what I was hoping for.

And look at all these beautiful kids! I have been swamped this week and loving every minute of it!

Last Saturday I visited with Miss. K and her new little sister- Baby B. I've been photographing Ms. K since she was a little tiny newborn. Her first photoshoot was when she was only one week old!
Ms. K and Little B are such little sweeties as I'm sure you'll be able to tell from the pictures.

Thursday I was very excited to meet a good friend of mines newest grandbaby...baby L. He was SO sweet and tiny! He and his proud new parents were very fun to work with!

Friday morning I met up with a special couple and their little guy. I photographed them during their pregnancy and then right after little B was born. I was so excited to get a call from them asking for one year old photo's!! Little B has grown SO much and is such a little cutie!

Yesterday morning I met up with Baby W (pictured earlier in my blog as a newborn), and his cousins, Little man R and twins, M & B. I was so excited to see how much baby W had grown and to meet the rest of the family. It was a great day...I really enjoyed working with such a wonderful group!

Was an absolute doll on Wednesday!! He slept almost the entire time, opening his eyes only to make sure that we got a few pictures of his beautiful baby blues! Such a sweet, content baby! He was 15 days old and so tiny. Have I mentioned before how much I LOVE photographing newborns? ;-)

Halloweenie/Shadow~

Cat has no idea what her name is...heck, I never know what to call her either. Personally, I don't think either name fits her...she is so graceful and pretty! The kids originally called her halloweenie because of her coloring but Trey liked the name Shadow because she followed him all over the house. Regardless of her name...she sure is a sweet cat!
